$SIVE at ~$400m MC is a name I genuinely believe... Institutions missed as the upstream laser chokepoint for hyperscalers. When you look at $TSEM following my thesis, the stock went up 70% to a $21B+ MC. Retail flows do not send NASDAQ stocks up $10B+. Information discovery and synthesis does. Especially when institutions validate it, and follow along. $SIVE was majority owned by Sweden retail investors, with **almost 0 institutional investors**. Now that information is distributed regarding the Upstream CW laser supplier for $MRVL, Ayar, Jabil, O-Net. And with $AVGO + other comments recently stating lasers were a clear bottleneck for supply chains: I strongly think that institutions are trying to accumulate off Swedish retail hands through Iceberg orders, vwap algos, or any other methods to gain exposure to the upcoming CW laser bottleneck. Again, the closest comparison to $SIVE are: $MTSI and $LITE, both at $18B and $55B MCs. Sivers trades at ~$400m MC. With architectural paradigm shifts in photonic supply chains: I think retail has a rare opportunity to frontrun institutions with $SIVE and have heavy exposure to the upcoming CW/EML laser bottleneck.

As for $VLN, I don't think I'm wrong. But markets clearly disagree with my opnion. I've learned two things: - Some stocks like Japanese ones can trade way under book value - Markets don't like stocks from Israel like $ETOR for some reason (lost a lot on that too). I still think it's undervalued. Net assets ($92.6M pure cash) vs. $132M MC. Net assets is $105M with zero debt. So EV is ~$27M? For a growing company with 60% GAAP gross margins on $70.6M FY 2025 revenue. So valuation looks stupid. But somehow stocks operate that way.

If you don't know my style by now: I identify upcoming sectors (photonics, memory, drones), then go long on the entire supply chain. I'm not always right, though. $AVAV and the drone sectors were my biggest losses this year outside of $RDDT ( $OSS did end up 60%+ ). I still believe fundamentally companies like $AIRO, $LPTH and others are extremely solid long term. ( $AIRO is still up ~15%, but lost majority of it's 70%+ gains, Draganfly dropped way more) And there's very unrealistic expectations from looking at $SNDK supercycles that everything can go up 100% a month. The main catalyst I've identified around that sector was the Venezuela invasion's usage of hidden drone + edge defense contracts/subcontractors. And I expected there to be follow-up funding into the sector. However, I mentioned I de-risked around the Greenland deal (majority of defense contractors crashed) but kept smaller concentration in stuff like $AVAV. SCAR program loss to others like $AVAV was even a bigger surprise and I lost even more. Unfortunately, the War in Iran focused around larger defense contractors like L3 Harris, $NOC and private companies like Anduril, and some energy directed suppliers like $LASR. So there weren't many tailwind recoveries for drone companies. That being said, I do know how to cut losses. But I still get a lot of crap saying oh look at "X stock they've liked earlier in the year". I'm very transparent when it comes to these things: A certain executive in the $IREN community are known to delete all their posts after their followers lose 90% on $BKKT or $ASST post-dilution. Majority of my stocks I identify are extremely solid fundamentally so they either hold their level since my original thesis. And I post risk-levels / conviction-levels with them too (risky ones obviously have more downside). I have skin in the game compared to others that just post hot takes. So if my thesis is wrong, I lose money personally (there's ton of more fills like this, just endless losses on $AVAV). But I leave everything up so you can see how things play out.

So there's deep investors (like you), then there's traders (like myself). What investors miss is what causes a stock like $SIVE to go up. For me, I timed it around $NVDA GTC + OFC conference, since there's likely new news around Nvidia pushing CPO architectures. The reason for the parabolic rise is: -> $SIVE confirmed as light source to O-Net. -> $SIVE confirmed as light source to Jabil at OFC. These were the biggest catalysts after my thesis post was announced. It was already asymmetrical due to $POET -> $MRVL Celestial as well as Ayar. But the Jabil plugabble announcement timed with me going long is a cherry on top. It's not just an "X post, stock goes up 300%", doesn't work like that.

@Berlinergy Exactly. Lot of things come just a lack of understanding. If people developed their own conviction around names like $SIVE, $MTSI, $LITE if they saw how severe the EML/CW bottleneck is going to be. Then when you see a 125%+ increase, you would still think it's undervalued.

@excu4e16421 $SOI is slow rerating compared to $AAOI but I do think it’s the bottom of their legacy drag cycle but they get upside from silicon photonics/cpo ramp up with the substrates they provide. Maybe 2.5x in a years time (which is still good, not everything triples in 3 months)

Sorry to hear, drone stocks like $AVAV and $DPRO were my biggest losers and I lost solid 6 fig on that. I posted earlier I cut my losses on them since Greenland peace deal, $AVAV recently on the Scar program loss. And rotated to photonics. The Iran war tended to be a lot of the larger military contractors this time around, compared to drone companies used in a Venezuela. I post a lot on X, and not everything shows up to followers unfortunately.

I’m curious… With $AXTI, $IQE, or $SIVE. And the many other photonics winners I’ve longed like $LITE that returned 100-1000% over the past few months. When is it time for the salty folks out there to admit… That my thesis are just right after all. Instead of downplaying it? $20B+ companies like $TSEM don’t just move up 70% in 2 weeks, unless institutions validated the thesis and found it compelling. Same with $AXTI, it wouldn’t have ran from $450M MC to $3.85B MC unless institutions found it compelling. I just spot these before others do, and post information synthesis/discovery. In these cases, retail has clearly frontrun institutions and made life changing returns. If the thesis were wrong, institutions can take the other end of the trade. Which they don’t. Everyone on X keeps asking for the next 1000%. And when there’s someone out there on X that posts multiple (for free) ideas. Posts a clear directional trade before the price even moved. -> then they do ~10x like $AXTI: They’re met with slander instead? Ever stop to think… maybe the thesis/idea was right after all?

I wouldn't say it's speculative. Hyperscalers have orders completely booked until 2028 from $LITE to $COHR. Even $TSEM has 70% of their capacity booked and it's low fwd ~20 P/E 2028. CW/CPO more speculative for photonics, not the pluggable optical transceivers cycle. But compared to memory/GPUs, makes snse. But think everyones looking at photonics bottlenecks right low like pcb, which is funny

Will it beat down memory? -> Prob not. Implications might be bullish for $ARM and others though where you can run AI locally, rather than DRAM heavy DCs. However: ->This is basically DeepSeek round 3. You can make algorithms more efficient. But that doesn't replace either memory or GPUs. -> It could structurally (and slightly) reduce DRAM demand. -> think it's only been tested on small models so far like Gemma, Mistral, and Llama-3.1 (and paper's been out for a year) Also, markets conflated DRAM with NAND... this algo compresses the KV cache (DRAM). Doesn't do anything to NAND storage? Regardless: Algorithms will always get more efficient. People keep saying Jevons Paradox, which is true since this just scales use cases. Main thing to look out for is hyperscaper capex projections, not Google Algorithms that made things more efficient. Feels more like a narrative headwind than anything material to earnings.

我很久没再聊 $VPG 了。 这曾经是我看 Tesla Optimus 放量的一个传感器标的。 本周 Sidoti 大会上有个非常重要的线索: “到 2026 年底前,每周有可能扩产到几百台机器人。” 这听起来是不是很像 Optimus? 如果按他们 CEO 那句“每台机器人 500 到 1200 美元”的说法来看:也不差。 但当然,很多机器人供应链在真正的人形机器人大规模拐点出现之前,基本都还是死钱。 也许 Unitree IPO 会让机器人供应链稍微活跃起来。

Been awhile since I covered $VPG. This was a sensor play for $TSLA Optimus Ramp. Very important breadcrumb this week at the Sidoti Conference: "Potential to scale to hundreds of robots per week by the end of 2026." Kinda sounds aligned with Optimus? No? If we go off their CEO "$500-$1.2k per robot" statement: Not too shabby. But of course, a lot of robotic supply chains are kind of dead money until the actual inflection point humanoids at scale hits. Maybe Unitree IPO sparks some life into robotic supply chains soon?
