I have received information regarding Masha Prusakova and Nikolai Mushegian that differs from public accounts. After reviewing the materials, I’ve realized that this information is too high-risk for an individual researcher to hold safely regarding the criminal case and Epstein files. For my own personal safety and to protect source confidentiality, I have decentralized all relevant materials to the investigative desks of the AP and WSJ. I will no longer hold the original files or evidence. I am now stepping away from this case entirely and will not be commenting further. My work is returning exclusively to fundamental market research and supply chain analysis.

The founder of MakerDAO drowned the same morning, 5 hours after this post. Official reports state it was a “swimming accident”. Deeper research found he was reportedly “fully clothed and with a wallet in his pocket” while swimming. Maybe it’s best to not look into these things anymore from the new Epstein files.

I don’t own any positions in Silver and don’t have any strong opinion on price direction. That being said, just wanted to report what actually happened with the cascading margin liquidations. Especially because news outlets are parroting the same false narrative blaming it on the Fed chair and leaving out the most important details.

Anytime. I just kept seeing the "Fed Chair" nomination cited as the reason for the Silver drop from mainstream media, but anyone who can think independently knows that's not the reason. The nomination just gives CME/exchanges and banks an excuse to avoid admitting that their own margin hikes to % + hiked requirements forced liquidations. That being said I'm not engaged in the Silver market, I just wanted to publish what I found.

@gofallingknife Yeah was thinking the same here. Sometimes markets just need an excuse to run on and I've heard that story being repeated a lot. I have my own thesis about Warsh and hawkish/dollar type trades but this would definitely not cause a 37% drop on silver.

I read about that and didn't think it true though, we already knew Warsh was likely to be the next fed pick way earlier because it was ~80% chance on prediction markets. Markets probably would have priced that in already and it probably wouldn't have caused a 37% $SLV flash crash.
