Nah DeepSeek is actually very innovative. That's why I'm saying US models just needs to get good. As for distillation that's another problem that can be solved with bank level security/onboarding + regulations, at least for the frontier models. Since it's against TOS but not a crime to share credentials like Netflix accounts yet to those proxy networks. Should be treated like sharing bank accounts.
